I am starting with my oldest friends first. In this group of pictures are friends I have had for 45 years.I might add that two of them I had not seen since I was 15 years old, I am now 62.
Sara , I had seen some as she was one of my Mom's best friends so I kept seeing her while my mom was still alive. After her death in 1975, I thought she was my Mom's friend and thought she would not want to keep seeing me and we just drifted away from each other. so this gives you an idea how long this has been. Patty is Sara's daughter.
Jeanette ,Patty and I played together , lived on the same street,went to the same school,and were really good friends.We moved but we kept the friendship up until I got the idea to quit school and get married. I was 16 years old when I married , the last time I saw Jeanette was at my wedding. Woah ! Her mother was one of my mother's other best friends. I did see her as my Mom and her would see each other and I would see her Mom now and then. Her mom died and I lost touch with Jeanette.Jeanette, cared enough (thank God) to look for me just recently and thanks to the internet, found my website and called me.
We have all just recently reconnected and I am so glad they wanted to see me again enough to look me up. I had not forgotten them , it had been so long since I had seen or heard from them I thought they might not want to reconnect and how wrong I was. If anybody out there has friends they have not seen for a long time , take the time and look them up, it is so fulfilling.
Jeanette and her family live in Virginia and they came into town and on Wednesday, July 1st,2009 we all met at Sara's house and got reaquainted. It was an emotional day for me as it brought back so many memories. Mom would be so glad that I have been able to see and visit Sara,Patty,and Jeanette and her family again. I believe she was looking down on us and smiling.
