August 31,2006 ~ March 9, 2007

This is our new addition to our family. Sugar came to us as one of four snow white kittens born August 31st ,2006.I got Sugar at about 6 weeks old.She is about 2 1/2 month's old in this picture.

I was visiting Holly and she had gotten a kitten from a friend of Haley's that lived near her. The kitten was just adorable. The friend of Haley's happened to be visiting Haley while I was there and she said I have three more white kittie's left. The more I watched Haley's kitten play , I wanted one. I told Haley's friend to go get me one. so ends the story of how Sugar came into our life. So Sugar came home.
I never thought I would be one of those people that would let an animal become so much a part of my life but Sugar has wraped me and Junior around her little paw. Sugar is percocious, funny, and downright tempermental but we love her anyway.

The neat thing about this story is after Holly got the first kitten of the four white kittens, I then got one , Holly went back and got another one , which they are adorable together. Paris see's mine and mind you Paris is NOT a cat person at all, sees mine and says, "I want one" so we go and ger hers. Between Holly , me and Paris we have all four solid white kitties. They all have blue eyes but Sugar has real pale blue eyes and the other 3 have real deep blue eyes,

Sugar you were here last Christmas and I found your stocking I made for you last year. This portrait was made by an anonymous person who saw Sugar's picture on a website and read about her passing over the Rainbow Bridge because of the cat food she ate. She sent this portrait to me and it is beautiful and it hangs in my livingroom. If this person only knew how much I appreciate this thoughtful gift.

Chronic Renal Failure

My Sugar was diagnosed today with failing kidneys or Chronic Renal Failure. It was a shock and I do not know what I will do without her. She does not have very long to live and to tell you what joy she has brought to us is undescribable. She came to us at six weeks old and is just six months old. To tell you I am devistated is an understatement. All I can do is keep her as confortable as possible and then when it is time take her to the vet and have her put to sleep. I do not want her to suffer. She is a special part of our lives. This page will stay up as a tribute to my Sugar or "Ferosious" as Junior calls her.

These pictures were taken on her last day, She had stopped eating and drinking water. She was very listless but I took her outside before we left for the Vet's office and she just explored and it was like she wasn't so sick. The picture with Junior was typical at night while we watched T.V. She loved Junior best I think. At the end she didn't play anymore , she just wanted to be near us. I am so glad that we could be there for her and give her comfort. Good-Bye Our Little Sugar....

Not enough time with you but oh the time we had was the best. You will always have a part of my heart. I know you aren't in pain anymore.

Caution: Please check what foods you are feeding your pet. The dry is not affected but the wet pet food in cans and pouches are affected. I now know this is what killed my Sugar. I was feeding her Special Kitty and Iams in the pouches. I could not understand why she got sick so quick when she had been perfectly OK. Here is the website with the lists of brands not to give your animal if you have it on your shelf. Menu Foods
